I feel like it is hard enough to do that for my fifth-graders, whom I teach every subject, all day long. I think it would be harder to do at your level where, I assume, you only see your students for an hour or specific period per day. I suppose it takes very observant teaching and well-designed assessments to give you a clear picture of what each of your students is learning. Good luck with your individualized assignments. I bet your students will appreciate your extra efforts to specially design activities that fit with the things they have already learned, but that push them in the direction of new knowledge.
